Hey what's going on! I hope by now people know that I don't blog galleries or daily things unless I know for sure that anyone would be interested. So here's a post about more music photography that I love to do. I went on a two-week run tour with the amazing O'Kingdom. They're a metalcore band from my hometown, Louisville, and they brought me along to document all the shows and shenanigans that happened. First off, these guys are great musicians. I had already followed them for awhile and they made a big name for themselves in my hometown with great efficiency. Granted, being an independent band and booking your own tour, there will be a couple duds. Nevertheless, I had a blast on the tour.
The first show in Jonesville was great up until the van breaking down later that night: already on the first day! Their good friends, John and Dave Harms helped us out and drove all the way down 6-hours to North Carolina to save our asses. What a bunch of great guys seriously. Even more so, they let O'Kingdom keep the band in order to finish the tour. Honestly, I don't think I have ever seen anything so kind happen to anyone; it's unbelievable. We pushed through the whole tour and it came out amazing. Despite the difficulties of being on the road, I had some of the most fun I've ever had with these guys. I'll definitely be working with them more in the future so be sure to subscribe and stay up to date with me.
On July 4th, the boys celebrated their 6 year anniversary of being O'Kingdom. It also happened to be our off day. We spent that off day doing a *cough* "Playgirl shoot." This came to be the magazine spread you see over to the right as well as an amazing short video of Cody's special talents.
Here's a couple of videos that pretty much sum up most of the shows and what happened during the two week run.
There's also a gallery FILLED with some of my favorite photos from tour as well as a second gallery with the photos from our off day at the beach. These guys were a blast to be on tour with and I would definitely do it again. We'll see what the future holds for these guys. Be sure to find them on their social media sites and check out their EP, "Anthem for the Lost." You won't regret it.
